The everyday tasks of many women
The everyday tasks of many women involve many domestic chores. These chores involve repetitive work. This repetitive work can be for the family and children as well as within the workplace. I as well as many other women see it as 'their place' to do this boring repetitive work. Marriage involves working for each other as well as compromising many choices. Many men work hard and long hours( somtimes short hours like teaching involves home-work preperation ) my husband is still ferrying my adult children too and from many places which uses up time so tasks are shared but the bulk of the mundain household tasks often fall on the woman's shoulders and this is accepted by society. I hope to include this as concept within my art Woman's work as the hand of a woman (my own) doing these many tasks and then at rest.

Learning from my essay researching Linguistic Theory and The 'Maleness of Language'. What I said in my essay influences my art.
"I feel this is true: the idea that many women who are following on from their mothers and mother’s mothers in habit and learning make sense. As a mother we teach our girl children what to expect from life, and that’s less than what boys expect and get: (I have two boys and one girl) my mother taught me “education was not necessary as I would marry and have children anyway!” Making an informed choice becomes more available with language and attitude change. Women are socially moulded, so we should try as best we can to break free, and demand respect, for what we contribute to society, how we look, feel, think, do, is both made by nature and nurture."
I am now caring for my Mother she is very weak and is an invalide at the moment I live partly with her in Glasgow partly at home in Central region.
